Is there a bank in the washington d.c. area that offers second chance checking?

Question: Is there a bank in the washington d.c. area that offers second chance checking?

I know Woodforest Bank at Wal- Mart in some areas offers a "second chance " bank account without a credit check. However there are none of those near me. Is there a valid bank with a second chance checking account near Arlington, VA??

Yes, but I'm not telling you.

I guess I am confused. Since when do you need a credit check to open a checking account. All you usually need is some ID, and the initial deposit to open it. What is a "second chance " checking account. Anyone who is a citizen with ID can open an account...usually takes about $100.....just go to another bank. Unless you aren't a citizen....then you may have problems.

I'm not sure if there are any local banks, but my sister signed up for a 2nd chance checking account online. She didn't have to complete a credit check or pay an application fee. The best part about her bank is that there are no minimum deposits and she got a free MasterCard debit card.
