If this means you've written bad checks in the past, I would try a Chase Bank, they have an Access Checking product, that for a monthly fee, you'll get a debit card ($100 cushion required), no checkwiriting, access to direct deposit, and be limited for withdrawals at ATMs, but with reliable performance, they will allow you to upgrade to full checking product later on.
