I just opened up a second chance checking account...?

Question: I just opened up a second chance checking account...?

With the same bank I had closed due to overdraft fees unpaid. I am not able to use checks for one year. My husband needs a voided blank check to have his checks directly deposited into our account. Do you think they will comply? Thanks!

If you are not able to use checks for one year how will you get the money out of the account after the direct deposit? You could use the ATM for cash but how will the bills be paid - bill payer? The bank charges most accounts for bill payer so they will be making money two ways: (1) bill payer and (2) your daily deposit amount. Do you think they will comply. It would have to be a very illogical thing for a bank to refuse direct deposit. Unless it is the only bank in town I would move to a more customer friendly one.

You should just be able to provide his employer with the banks routing number and the account number of your checking acct. Most banks will print off a direct deposit change sheet with that info on it.
